Default Why do u think the LL album is important to kellz career?

Most of the reviews on LL is that this is his best and most serious album since Chocolate factory...

I've seen numerous post stating that LL is a turning point for kellz and that it is crucial to his catalog

what's ur opinion on LL and why do u think its so important to his career?

First off I would have to slightly put Chocolate Factory ahead of Love Letter. Secondly, I guess it's important because for a while, maybe some ppl thought Kelly couldnt be Kelly anymore and he's lost his artistry. But we know that couldnt be further from the truth. also, LL said look, I'm here and will always be. This is what was asked of me, I hear you. This is what I do baby, watch. I'm limitless. I can make a timeless album and I dont need other artist or gimmicks to do it. I can eveolve with the times or I can take it back for you. Just let the R do that will you. This album is important because it exemplified his talent & his range as a true artist & solidified his legacy; as if it wasnt already

because quite a few folks were turned off by his stuff on Tp3,Double Up and Untitled

also the personal issues got alot of headlines and he had to get the focus back on why we dug him in the Main place and he needed a record that spoke to his Talents as a Artist

he had to let the Young Bucks know what time it is.

He had to show the Old guard that he still got it.

more importantly on stage is where he is taking it to the streets.

truth is I love the "Love Letter" Album, however Live it is gonna be even way better.

I see a spark in his eye and a little something extra on stage and he is out to make a Point that he ain't

    playing.

IMO He might be at his best on stage because I sense a urgency to rip the stage.

this Album was the kind of album he had to make a artistic statement and I'm sure he heard his critics saying

Oh Old Man, hang it up, you trying to hang with them Kids and rap,etc..

saying dude you ain't singing like you use to

you don't write like you use to

you can only write freaky songs and have no balance,etc..

i can tell he was motivated because Love Letter put its foot deep in Hind Parts.

I think it was important for his legacy. If he continued creating albums like DU then the bio for his career would be very different than it is now with this album. I hope he keeps going down this path. The 70's funk album has me really amped! I hope that album sees the light of day. Another single off this album would be nice. That should run him to the Fall.

It's important to his legacy because it showcases his true talents as a singer and writer. People love to hear that from him, not this rap mess about going to the club and fucking a lot of women.

Love Letter is important to his career because it serves as somewhat of a reintroduction of R. Kelly, the icon, imo. Of course unlike some, I enjoyed all of his albums post-Chocolate Factory, but this album really showcases Rob's artistry and you can tell that he spent lots of time to get this album right. For the life of me I don't know why people continue to sleep on and kind of dismiss HP/USM because those albums were definite gems but in terms of overall packaging LL is the best while in terms of overall concept album, I think it is a tie between LL and HP.
