He mentioned in that interview that Stevie Wolnder's songs in the key of life is that album for him, what are your thoughts on that album and the impact and influence it has had on R?

also do you think he will do a Stevie tribute in much the way he did the Sam Cooke one and would you want a Stevie tribute in the same fashion??

as one of my favorite album i appreciate robs taste and he knows his soul history. that may have given him the guts to do the double R album where he tried some things that wouldnt have made a single disc release. that being said its not needed to do a stevie tribute. he's done stevie in concert ''Tp-2''before and so many people has done stevie. they have been jazz tributes and r&b tributes and on and on and on. dont get me wrong stevie is integral to this music thing but he's been done over and over again. Now the Sam was special because although he has been tributed to a degree never to the masses thats what makes this special.

Songs in the Key of Life is one of my favorite albums.
When he answered, I was like, "Yesss!" nodding.

The album is not your ordinary pop record, but it's not too heavy either. Ambitious and diverse.
Full of quality everyday songs you need in your life.


I think, from that album, Kellz has learned that he needs to work hard for nothing but excellence, can't settle for anything less.
That's what one genius do for colleagues.
Plus, I believe he's found a sort of model from which he can learn how to take advantage of his versatility and have fun with it, rather than show off.

*As I was typing the above, it makes me wish to hear about some more technical stuff he's learned.
