Thread: R. Kelly will be on the Jools Holland show

This is going to be very credible for Rob. It should definitely generate some buzz. I'm also hoping it'll make waves through the BBC. Jools is a BBC show so if he kills it then there could be a great response on both TV and more importantly Radio.

^Yessir, I was thinking the exact same thing. As much as I dislike it, if your music gets played on (BBC) 'Radio One' you have chart success - simple.

The DJ's have as much celebrity status as the artists they interview, and as a result are very egotistical and (negatively) opionated. Your music sells if they play it, but you wouldnt want to hang out with anyone from there cuz they're all snakes. Im not sure if you are familiar with a song called 'Champion' which is Chipmunk featuring Chris Brown. Its not a bad song at all, even though Chipmunk sucks Chris makes the song listenable however he has been cut off the Radio One version and replaced by 1 of the female DJ's on the station who has never sung in her life. Total disrespect, and the reason behind this and I quote:

"Radio One does not like Chris Brown because of what he did to Rihanna"

This is the kinda BS they do, and unfortunately get away with.

Only DJ I can think of from there is Trevor Nelson, I used to occasionally listen to his show a few years back. (I know he is a fan of Rob, I can remember he had a countdown on a music channel and had him at #2 on it- Think it was best RnB artists or something similar. If I remember right Whitney Houston was #1).

It definitely does help with sales though, when Kanye released All of the Lights here it went in at #45, Radio 1 picked up on it and it has flown up the charts now. Pretty sure it eventually made the top 15.

Yeah, truth be told I hate Radio 1 and the say it has on the charts. It is literally like conditioning the public. However, if Rob gets some credit on there, I may change my tune...!
