Default R. Kelly ranks #41 on VH1's greatest songs of 2000

Me personally, I would of picked Ignition instead of TITC but its still good he made the list..

Mariah Carey’s ‘We Belong Together’ the Song of Decade and made her the only artist to capture the title twice. However, continuing the pattern of timely propaganda started earlier this year by the Billboard Music Awards, Vh1 has honored Beyonce with the accolade for her song ‘Crazy In Love’.

Interestingly, the record even ranked higher than OutKast’s monster hit ‘Hey Ya!’ and Eminem’s cult classic ‘Lose Yourself’. See the full Vh1′s ’100 Greatest Songs Of The ’00s’ list below, which also strangely includes an appearance from Lady Gaga’s relatively recent 2008 release, ‘Poker Face’, at #3:

It will be very interesting to see the grading system that the good people at Vh1 used to compile this list. It was definitely not developed in relation to the commercial success because Beyonce’s own ‘Baby Boy’ would have easily outranked ‘Crazy In Love’. Furthermore, unless the Vh1 executives quietly announced it without any promotion, there wasn’t any widespread indication of a poll being conducted for fans to vote for their favourite songs.
Hence, this is probably just another example of a media outlet being manipulated to promote an artist without any regards given to actual merit. Indeed, it is difficult to take this list seriously as Vh1 was the network that ranked Beyonce and Justin Timberlake higher than Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, George Michael and Tupac on the list of ’100 Greatest Artists of All Time’ last year.

Lol at #1. Did Beyonce's team create this list?

"Ignition (Remix)" should be #1 on this list. Easily the best song of the last decade.

you know they have dissed him by not even including him on the 100 greatest artists ever and they enjoyed trapped in the closet like quite a few folks, but to act like Ignititon and Step in the Name of love can't be on the list as well is just wrong. i mean Ignition still bumps in clubs right now and excuse me but step in the name of love was a dance craze for folks who didn't even know about step dancing, etc..

he always gets robbed, i mean its cool he is acknowledged but to that if you are going to acknowledge trapped then the hype, and impact merits higher than number 41.

I was flabbergasted when I saw this posted on Billboard. yes he ALWAYS gets dissed. this ish gotta stop. I was arguing as to how the hell is ignition not on there when it still bangs years later. some of those songs i've never even heard. but hey, to be expected from VH1.

VH1 are making fools of themselves, I mean Ignition Remix was even included in the Rolling Stone's updated 500 greatest song of all time list (Kells now has 2 songs there, the other is I believe I can fly), and the remix has also has been included in EVERY list of best songs since the year 2000.
