Questions is know what is the first single from the Soundtrack, and what is the release date for the soundtrack album Kellz hopefully can win Grammys, Oscars, and Golden Globe this year sweep it all baby.
    Gotta love that spirit!
It feels too early to pop the champagne, but it's not a far-fetched dream, either.
If that takes place, it's a matter of time he will be in demand among various directors.

Looks like the date has been moved to August 10 (

A Whitney fan mentioned that the movie is still being edited so we can probably expect a trailer some time in March. I hope we hear some of the music Kellz composed in the trailer.

madonna didn't make the oscar cut bc her song wasn't eligible. if whitney wrote a song, could u ensure the song is eligible?

whitney did not write a song for the movie. But believe me we will make sure our original songs are eligible for consideration.

I care, R. deserves to be recognized for his talent. I think he has a chance on being nominated but we'll see. He has been snubbed way too many times.

he deserves to be acknowledged no doubt, however winning those awards mean what? Beyonce got more grammys than R and MJ almost put together and that says what?

when a network like Centric is going to have your weekend all dedicated to you that to me is the ultimate victory.

the special from Africa that is the win.

IMO they ain't ever going to acknowledge R Kelly properly until he is either old or dead. sad to say, but the industry already trying to put him in the oldies but goodies section and pushing acts who can't even hold his piper mask.

oh he will be nominated and probably get a few, but we are talking a decade plus of industry hate while this man has brought that industry many ,many, many millions of dollars on himself, new acts, veteren acts and in between acts for 2 decades.

Very true! Yea, I agree. I just want to see Kellz get his due but I know that's just wishful thinking. Especially, when he has been discredited for 20+ years. You're right about the industry trying to put him in the oldies section; I've been noticing this a lot these past few years. It's also noticed it's projecting to the public because I keep reading about "old school R. Kelly" or "R. Kelly back in the day..." when he's still a good artist, probably even better than he was before.

and man Black Artists catch it the worst. i kid you not. I love charlie Wilson, however all these cats calling him Uncle and he ain't old at all. they gonna wanna do that Kellz in a few years as well.

no offense to Adele or Bruno Mars but you can't tell me that Love Letter ain't up for best Album of the year against what they write, sing or put out??

reason why i don't even sweat the award shows, 12 play ignored, R self title ignored, Double R disc ignored, chocolate Factory ignored, Love Letter ignored and I ain't even gonna talk about all the big hit songs he wrote for himself and others and they only give him nominations when they know good and well that R.kelly outta be filling out a music room with grammys and American music awards.

i mean he did dominate the Billboard awards a few times.

this wack industry is so busy trying to put the money on trey songz, NeYo,Chris Brown and they good and well those turkeys ain't ever going to touch no R.kelly no matter how many millions you spend.

when i see the reaction at the soul train awards after he did his medley and then came back with Ronald Isley and Chante Moore, well that is Award enough.

when Aretha Franklin told Wendy Williams how Badd R.kelly is and mind you this is 20 plus years into Kellz career with a "When a Woman Loves" well i gotta leave the building.

    Probably her last recording.....

I would love him to do a tribute song for her on the soundtrack or Write Me Back.

update Exclusive: Whitney Houston's Last Songs to Be Featured in 'Sparkle' Film

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Houston sings the gospel classic "Eyes on the Sparrow" in the film and duets with Jordin Sparks, the film's star, on a new R. Kelly song, "Celebrate" over the end credits. The film is in post-production and on schedule; Sony Pictures has it scheduled for release in early August. RCA will release the soundtrack.

Houston recently finished her recording of "Celebrate." Sony executives were pleased with both the way Houston looks and sounds in the film, according to a person familiar with the production.
