    Default R.Kelly Hip Hop Tracks!

R.Kelly has done some hip hop joints since Born Into The 90s album. He has big hits with T-pain I'm In Luv Wit A Stripper Remix, Snoop Dog That's That, Young Jeezy Go Getta, and many others. I've followed R.Kelly and his collabos over the years and I've noticed all the hottest collabos joints won't on his album except one or two. My question is why does Kellz put weak hip hop tracks on his album and not the great ones like: F*cking You Tonight with Biggs, Satisfy You with Diddy, Street Dreams Remix with Nas and others? What I'm trying to say is that R.Kelly always shine when the single is not on the album but when he makes a hip hop song for his album it doesn't do well or doesn't even come out as a single. Did You Ever Think Remix was good and Fiesta with Boo and Gottie was good! The ones on DU need help! Peace!

    Promotion...

Other artists pay Kellz for his creativity... They send Kellz the music they write and R Kelly will put his magic on it.

I would not buy a hip hop record automatically, but if R Kelly is on it I will. Most die hard r&b fans feel that way. It opens up the number of people interested in the record and promotes other artists. Although I like Biggie Smalls Kellz being on the record made it more interesting.

People who normally don't buy hip hop and those who normally don't buy r&b will get the combination.

Damn good topic. I've always pondered the same question. One of the reasons could be that the tracks that R Kelly is on for other people are produced by hip hop producers who eat and sleep hip hop music. All of Kelly's song are usually produced by him. My 2 favorite tracks were the Fiesta Remix, which I think is produced by Tone and We Thuggin' w/ Fat Joe, not sure who produced this track. Not that Kelly isn't a muscial genius, but sometimes having other hot producers can help the songs.

That's true Braids! I guess I just want Kellz to do good that's all!

Latin! You right about producers speciality! Producers who know their turf, sounds right to me.

Disagree. On TP.3 and Double Up there obiously are producers who live and breathe hip hop, and it did not work.
And on his past albums he had great, really great hip hop songs, they were not worse than the collabos he did on other artists' albums.
The main problem is: Hip Hop is dead. Hip Hop gained popularity, popularity brought mainstream, mainstream brought hip hop down. There is no more good rap music on the charts.

    Music needs to slow down.

There's still good Hip Hop out there and i disagree cause kells Hip Hop collabo's are still hot, different but hot. I think most of us compare his music from now with things he did in the past but that's wrong. It was a different time then and i don't think the collabo's he did in the past would be big hits now. The time has changed and so is Kells music
