Thread: i don't mean it and remix Props Page

me and my mix tapes and i have these songs back to back on my mix tape and talk about two tracks that not only are tight, but also they each have things going on that just smokes.

the Original with that rewind chorus and Yes I have a tape deck, love it when he hits that falsetto and sings you see I never meant to make you cry, Make you cry, love that harmony background vocals

and IMO that is One of his Greatest Background vocals Ever. love that Harmony.


the remix where he talks to God and Donnie's bass is Booming and near the end the cold use of Lenny Williams OOO OOO OOO was too tough.

just giving this a Props Page because IMO the Original and Remix are the truth.

Yeah, those are tight songs that don't get a lot of recognition. It's almost like those were lost songs in a way because they don't get a lot of rec. I love the instrumental. Very bluesy with the guitar. I wish he would do more bluesy tracks because to me, that's that grit of R&B. This track is very, very bluesy, yet modern with the bit of rap-singing he does. I love the line where he says, "You were there for me when I used dishrags for towels." How many of y'all know about that? That's some real hood *ish right there, lol! Dish rags for towels?? Yeah, you had better stick with that woman, right there because if she was with you then, that's a true mate right there. I would love to hear Rob do somethng with B.B. King. I wonder if Rob would like to work with him as well? That would be so awesome! They could do a whole album like BB and Bobby Blue Bland. I know some of you may think that's a little too old-timey but I don't and it would just show his range even more. They could call the album II Kings, haha!

These songs are serious business.
