Thread: 'Double Up' Album Discussion

"Double Up" would be a good title and a double album would even be better.

with the title of making babies i was hopeful of a classic 12 play/tp2 album, like i think alot of members were, with classic kells slow jams and love songs. but hopefully there will be plenty of those songs still no matter wat the album title, i think kells knows this is wat his fans really want!

I always thought the name Makin Babies was too close to Baby Makin that Rob did for the Isley's. Jive's Marketing must have changed it.

I don't think anybody from Jive ever really knew about "Makin' Babies". Was probably nothing but another one of Rob's usual "let's announce something without thinking" things.

Anyway, Double Up - first of all, I think it's a cool title, second, titles do not mean any-damn-thing, third: Somehow Double Up to me sounds like it MIGHT be an album full of collabos ... Probably it's not, but somehow ... wouldn't that be funny?

Jive knew about. Kells announced it last year at all his shows and I know Wayne Williams from Jive was there at the Chicago shows, so they heard about it. It was simply a marketing decision.

A full album of collabos? God I hope not, we know of two collabo tracks already and that's enough for me. I wonder if that 5/29 date is set in stone, cuz Jive has changed those on us before too. But I'm glad a new cd is coming.
